When processing text files, there is often a scenario where you want to guide the translation engine to not translate either an entire block of text or part of a sentence.

1. Blocks of text - use <notran> ... </notran>

This is the first sentence and it should be translated. <notran>This is the second sentence and it should not be translated.</notran> This is the third sentence and it should also be translated.

<notran>This is another paragraph and it will not be translated. This feature allows large blocks of text to be marked up so that it will not be translated. It is simple and easy to use. Any text before will be processed, with a forced break in before the text after it.</notran>

This is the third paragraph and it will be translated.

This is the first sentence and it should be translated.
This is the third sentence and it should also be translated.
This is the third paragraph and it will be translated.

2. Part of a sentence - use <notrani> </notraini>

The notrani tag means "no translation - inline". It will not split content like the notran tag, but instead will force a section of a sentence to remain as it was in the source.

We ate dinner in the White Elephant Café when we visited Bangkok.
Nous avons dîné dans le Éléphant blanc Café quand nous avons visité Bangkok.

<notrani> can used to tell Language Studio to not translate the name of the restaurant:

We ate dinner in the <notrani>White Elephant Café</notrani> when we visited Bangkok.
Nous avons dîné dans le White Elephant Café quand nous avons visité Bangkok.
